PREVIOUS SIGHTINGS
Below you'll find pics of ROWENA KING (Lavinia on "Tales of the South Seas") in the movie
"The Wide Sargasso Sea."
At the bottom on this page you'll find a pic of IAIN GARDINER who portrayed Mr. Davey in TLW
episode "The Pirate's Curse." He had a small part of a ship's purser who turned out to be a really, really bad
guy in the movie GHOST SHIP which starred Julianna Margulies and Gabriel Byrne. I almost didn't recognize him with all
of his teeth.
The movie MCLEOD'S DAUGHTERS starred three "Lost World" alumni -- KYM WILSON
(Narnia in TLW episode "A Witch's Calling," SIMONE KESSELL (the beloved Danielle in TLW episode
"Voodoo Queen," and ROBERT MAMMONE (Professor Campbell in TLW episode "Suspicion.") It was
a nice little modern western about two daughters taking over and running their father's ranch after his death. IMCLEOD'S
DAUGHTERS was directed by MICHAEL OFFER who directed such wonderful "Lost World" episodes
as "The Games," "The Outlaw," "The Knife," and "Brothers In Arms."
WILL SNOW made yet another appearance on "The Young and the Restless." New pics have
been added.
In case there's anyone out there who hasn't yet seen RACHEL BLAKELY in TRIBE, I've added a
few pics. This movie can be seen every once in a while on the Lifetime Movie Network. [NOTE: If you
try and tape the movie, be sure to either change your tape speed to LP or use two tapes at SP.]
While going through my piles of video tapes a couple of items I thought might be of interest here in SIGHTINGS.
The first was an episode of "The Lyon's Den" in which ROWENA KING guest starred. Rowena,
if you remember, played Lavinia on "Tales of the South Seas" along with Will Snow. "The Lyon's Den" was a
short-lived NBC television show which starred Rob Lowe after he left "The West Wing." You can find a pic of Rowena at
the bottom of this page.
Another little item was a movie called "Hotel de Love" which starred SIMON BOSSELL (James
Kemper in TLW episode "Time After Time") and PETER O'BRIEN (Avery Burton in TLW episode "Trophies").
Check the links to the right to see the pics.
While flipping through stations one weekend, I stumbled upon three movies which featured some Lost
World alumni. The first was a really wonderful movie called ME, MYSELF, I. This was the first big movie role for SANDY WINTON who portrayed the infamous Thomas Ducart in TLW episode "Phantoms." The movie
also starred DAVID ROBERTS who portrayed Mordren in TLW episode "Legacy." I must say
that both guys looked great.
The next Lost World alumni I saw was none other than KYM WILSON who portrayed Narnia,
one of the three witches in TLW episode "Witch's Calling." She was in a movie called FLIRTING which starred Thandie
Newton and a young-looking Nicole Kidman.
I caught REBECCA GIBNEY in HALIFAX f.p.: A PERSON OF INTEREST. Rebecca, if you
remember, was Lady Cassandra Yorkton in TLW episode "Cave of Fear." I haven't had a chance to watch this yet, but it
looks interesting. She plays some sort of criminal psychologist (I think). Also starring with her is DAVID
ROBERTS (Mordren in TLW episode "Legacy") as a police detective.
Then there's COUNTERSTRIKE. This television is practically a Coote/Hayes reunion show. RACHEL
BLAKELY has a starring role plus a lot of Lost World guest stars also appear.
